M-B-M Spring Classic Saturday April 14th 2:00 Orton Park

Just so you don't think the kittens are napping this close to race time, we thought we'd let you know that we've been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready for the Madison-Basco-Madison Spring Classic this Saturday! There have been some questions about weather and course conditions and all the kittens can say is that as long as there's weather and a course then the M-B-M will be on!

Been trying to get a map together to post, but the computer programs have been uncooperative thus far. If anything we'll have something at the race plus there will be signage along the route. It's pretty straight forward once you get onto the trail itself; the only tricky part is what route you take to get to the trail from Orton Park (that's where the alley cat aspect of this comes in). The main thing is starting the trail at the footbridge crossing over the Cap City Trail (turn right off of Seminole Hwy or take the Southwest bike corridor path straight to it). The race starts and finishes at Orton Park.

Prizes! Oh dear me, there's been a flood of cool prizes coming in! Trophies, bike stuff, DFL jersey plus a special prize drawing after the race open to all contestants!

If the weather is especially crap-like after the race we might just repair to a local watering hole for refreshments, but otherwise bring your own beer, Sailor Jerry etc. and we'll hang at the park.

any questions (other than the usual smart assed comments from the cheap seats), post 'em up here and we'll try to get them answered.

how's the weather out there in Montucky? in answer to you question Rev, if god were one of us, he'd ride a sick wheelie the entire length of the M-B-M without even getting wet or dirty. hence we'd DQ him for unfair advantage.

So for my bike, should I choose my Rig, A multispeed roadbike or a singlespeed touring bike with fenders?
